Full-Time and Part-Time Senior and Junior Video Producers

As one of Asia-pac’s fastest growing financial service providers, we have recently entered into a partnership with truly global digital platform providers and are subsequently searching for an outstanding senior video producer who has a passion for news and creative storytelling.
As a senior member of the video team, you will partner with our marketing director to capture, produce and edit captivating content that resonates with YouTube audiences across the world. You will launch new series and experiment with formats to drive audience growth and engagement.
You will work closely with our three full-time writers behind https://afnewsmedia.com, our rapidly growing expats news service targeting countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and many others that are popular with expats. But also work as part of a global team on the YouTube project, including with colleagues from Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Partner with our marketing director to create compelling videos focused on tourism in your home country as well as the top news stories from our digital media news platform at AF News Media.
- Manage two YouTube channels, driving growth in audience and subscriptions
- Use creativity and experiment with new formats, including series, suited to YouTube audiences.
- If you do not have editing skills we can let you focus on video production and give you training on editing if you want to advance your skills.
- This is an excellent opportunity to get into video production for YouTube and gain personal recognition of your name online, if desired, or if you prefer you can use a pseudo name in the video and keep your identity secret!
- Edit and upload general news videos as part of the news video team.
- Willing to do both travel and news orientated topics.
Who are you?
You have at least 2-5 years experience as a videographer / editor / video producer, ideally working in a news environment, or you particularly love news, features and travel.
- Excellent video shooting and editing skills
- Creativity – a love of experimentation with different formats to see what works
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills – the ability to build rapport with senior, high profile journalists
- An understanding of the YouTube audience and what content resonates on that platform, particularly in the News space
- Content planning, combined with the flexibility to use data to adjust the content and strategy as needed

- A team-working attitude where you enjoy working together with others with a positive mental attitude.
- If you have excellent presentation skills we can do the editing for you and let you focus on your talents.
